Objective: 

This course will enable the students to-

  • Learn to work on Word Processing, Spread Sheet and Power Point Presentation software
  • Creating presentations and reports

 

Practicals on:

 

Word Processing Software:

Introduction to word processing software such as Microsoft Word or Google Docs.

Basic features and functionalities including creating, editing, formatting, and saving documents.

Advanced features like mail merge, templates, and collaboration tools.

Spreadsheet Management Software:

Introduction to spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

Basic operations including data entry, formatting, and basic calculations.

Advanced functions such as formulas, charts, pivot tables, and data analysis.

PowerPoint Presentation Software:

Introduction to presentation software such as Microsoft PowerPoint or Google Slides.

Creating slides, adding text, images, and multimedia elements.

Designing effective presentations with slide layouts, transitions, and animations.

Online Searching:

Techniques for effective online searching using search engines like Google, Bing, or specialized databases.

Understanding search operators, filters, and advanced search features.

 

Each practical session will include hands-on exercises, demonstrations, and guided practice to ensure proficiency in using these software tools and online searching techniques for library and information management tasks.
