The Department of Library and Information Science organized an educational visit to MNIT Library for the students of B.Lib.I.Sc. on 14^th March, 2023. The objective of the visit was to apprise the students with the infrastructure, various sections, working environment and RFID system of the library. 

The students were given the opportunity to explore and experience the environment and working of Central Library of MNIT. They enthusiastically visited the library premises and were excited to see well organized stack rooms, optimisers to prevent the books from dusting and deterioration, reference section, periodical section, reading area. The library was fully automated with the library management software KOHA. They learnt how the processing of books were done. The major attraction was RFID system used for self circulation and stock verification.

Dr. Rishi Tiwari, Librarian, MNIT informed the students about the importance of libraries and a librarian. It was a wonderful experience
