The Department of Library and Information Science organised a guest lecture on the topic “Managing Library Services and Current Trends in Library and Information Systems” on   18-March-2023 for the students of B.Lib.I.Sc.

The Resource Person was Dr . Vineeta Singh Chauhan, Professional Assistant,                                          Centre for study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy, UOR who demonstrated the development and management of library resources which evolved from traditional to digital  systems and current trends occurred in the library science. She highlighted that while working in operational and strategic managerial and leadership capacities, library and information service managers need to be multi-skilled practitioners, demonstrating knowledge and understanding of multiple professional disciplines. She talked about the various career opportunities in the field.

The session ended with fruitful interactions between the students and the expert.
